Stay Sober Coffee started with a simple trade: the ritual of drinking for the ritual of roasting.
In early recovery, mornings needed a new anchor. Something to look forward to. Something to do with your hands. Something that marked the start of a good day instead of the end of a hard night. Coffee became that anchor. First a bag of green beans and a stovetop popcorn popper, then a proper roaster, then a garage full of them.
Every batch still gets roasted the way that first one did: in small quantities, tasted constantly, never rushed. It's the same lesson recovery teaches. You don't get the whole thing done at once. You show up, you do the next right thing, and you let the process work.
Today, Stay Sober Coffee is roasted in Hermitage, Tennessee, and delivered fresh across Tennessee. One batch, one day, one cup at a time.
